TM Landscapes recently completed this stylish and practical garden transformation for a new-build property, creating a low-maintenance outdoor space that offers improved privacy and year-round usability.
Like many new-build gardens, the outdoor space lacked privacy. It required a more practical layout that could be enjoyed throughout the year. As well as increasing privacy in the garden, our clients also desired an outdoor space that was easy to maintain.
This garden renovation included the installation of porcelain paving, artificial grass, raised sleeper planters and Portuguese Laurel pleached trees. Every element of the garden renovation has been carefully chosen to maximise the functionality and appearance of the landscape.
Paving, Turfing & Planting
A key feature of this garden renovation was the porcelain patio. This high-quality, durable paving creates a highly functional outdoor seating area for our clients. Porcelain paving has been used to give the garden a contemporary finish, as requested by our clients.
To align with the needs for a low-maintenance, modern landscape, the lawn was upgraded using premium artificial grass. This creates a neat surface at the centre of the garden renovation that remains green in all seasons without the need for mowing or regular upkeep.
We also installed raised sleeper planters to define the different areas of the garden and introduce additional planting opportunities. These beds add structure to the space while creating an attractive feature within the overall garden design.
To address privacy concerns from neighbouring properties, Portuguese Laurel pleached trees were installed along the boundary. Pleached trees are an excellent solution for new-build gardens as they provide effective screening without taking up excessive space.
As the trees mature, they will continue to enhance privacy while adding greenery and character to the garden design.
A Modern, Practical Garden Renovation
The result of this garden renovation is a modern, practical outdoor space. The design has made full use of the available space at this new build property, while ensuring the garden needs minimal maintenance.
The combination of porcelain paving, artificial grass, raised sleeper beds and pleached tree screening has transformed the garden into a more private and attractive environment our clients can enjoy throughout the year.
