Project Overview
This customer wanted to reduce the size of her lawn and create more planting areas, while maintaining a practical, traditional-style garden. She asked us to design a space that would be more functional yet in keeping with classic aesthetics.
Our design increased the size of the plant beds, incorporated a circular seating area to enjoy the evening sun, added a new pathway for easier access to the shed, and levelled the entire garden for improved usability.
We began by excavating the site, installing edging blocks, and then laying the block paving pathway along with the patio circle. Fresh topsoil and soil conditioner were applied and compacted before we installed premium quality turf. To minimise future maintenance, we covered the remaining areas with a weed control membrane and decorative stone.
For the materials, we used Indian sandstone in the ‘Autumn’ color for the patio circle, creating a warm, natural feel. The pathway was constructed with Marshalls ‘Traditional’ Tegula block paving, and Keykerb edging blocks framed the surrounding plant beds, completing the garden’s classic look.
